You will pay a reservation fee to reserve a pier. Generally, your reservation fee is equal to one month’s pier rental. Your reservation fee covers installation and setup — whether you do it yourself or we do it for you.
Your equipment will be mounted on a pier in one of our observatory buildings. You for pier rental every month based on your pier size. Pier rental includes 120VAC power (with battery backup) and one Ethernet connection. We’ll deliver Ethernet all the way to your computer or switch — no need to send an extra Ethernet cable.
If you choose to leave AstroPeak, we’ll charge you a tear-down fee equal to your monthly rate. This includes the cost to disassemble and pack your gear. You can pick it up or ship it at your expense.
If instead of leaving you move up to a bigger pier (or down to a smaller one), you’ll pay just one reservation/tear-down fee, which will be equal to the monthly rent for the more expensive pier. So if you move from a small to a medium pier, the reservation fee for the medium pier will cover tear-down of the small pier.
